I created a replica of Windows 95 to help display my annotations on two peices from my design history class.
Development
As part of our challenge, we were asked to select and annotate two texts from our semester's readings. I chose Designing Design by Kenya Hara and Ambition/Fear by Zuzana Licko and Rudy Vanderlans. These works offer contrasting perspectives on the impact of computer technology on design, one from its early days in 1988 and the other from a more developed standpoint in 2007.
To bring these insights to life, I created an interactive desktop experience inspired by the past. Designed with a Windows 95 UI, this experience transports users back to an era closer to when these texts were written, highlighting just how profoundly digital tools have shaped design over time.
